MURPHIL PET – 50 - SHIELDED ISOLATOR FOR PET

Murphil-PET is an innovative shielded Isolator designed for manipulation of PET radiopharmaceuticals.

The unique design makes it ergonomic, functional and ideal to simplify all routine operations performed in a Nuclear Medicine facility, in compliance with Radioprotection and GMP rules.

Murphil-PET is not just for gamma emitting isotopes; thanks to a “β- shielding” upgrade kit it is also a valid solutions for the manipulation of the Beta emitting therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals.

OPTIONAL – SYRINGE DISPENSING

 

The fractionator is a Plug & Play module extremely simple to install that through two separate peristaltic pumps is able to transfer the radiopharmaceutical from a vial into a syringe. Sterile disposable capillaries and two peristaltic pumps with shielded circuit are used to transfer.

With the syringe placed inside the dose calibrator, the will fill the syringe with the radiopharmaceutical until the preset activity is reached inside it.

If the saline solution volume can be added to the syringe. is not sufficient to perform the injection saline solution can be added to the syringe.

FASTDOSE - SYRINGE DISPENSING SYSTEM WITH DUAL DOSE CALIBRATION

FASTDOSE is an innovative dispensing system allowing monodose syringe preparation.

It is based upon a dual ionization chamber dose calibrator technology, working simultaneously to perform continuous

activity measuring of both the bulk vial and the syringe.

It is also possible to set the stated bulk concentration in order to obtain a three-point comparison between measurements, for the best dispensing precision.

FASTDOSE gets advantage of a double set of separate peristaltic pumps: one pump, driven in low speed and high

precision, is dedicated to radiopharmaceutical dispensing; the second high-speed pump allows dilution of the syringe with saline.

The unique dispenser shape permits to have the filling zone constantly washed by the isolator’s laminar air flow.

The system has a full suite of QC software routines for both the dose calibrators and the dispensing system.

WORKING PRINCIPLE

FASTDOSE is able to dispense syringes with set activity and volume, by collecting activity from the bulk vial.

Its innovative features allow to install it in any shielded hot cell/isolator not equipped with dose calibrator.

The software is based upon a simple and intuitive user machine interface.

Furthermore, on the PC or TABLET, data are stored permanently (patients and receipts).

This data can be exported to Nuclear Medicine management software.

DISPENSING MODULE

FASTDOSE is equipped with a single needle protected filling system.

The needle is positioned inside a protection case in order to avoid any interference with operator’s hands.

By virtue of a simple lever system the syringe, with perforation septum membrane, is filled from above and its activity is read from below.

For radiopharmaceutical transfer a sterile capillary disposable set is used together with two separate peristaltic pumps.

At the end of each dispensing cycle a simple action allows to remove the calibrated and shielded syringe.

Once the syringe is positioned inside the dedicated dose calibrator, the system will transfer the radiopharmaceutical in it until the set activity and volume are reached.

MAIN PANEL

The main panel is composed by a PC or a TABLET through which all command are sent to the machine, via TCP/IP protocol.

All calculations are performed by the embedded microprocessor electronics on the dispenser. This electronics also stores all settings and calibration factors.

The operator can log via a password hierarchy, from “Administrator” to “User”.

All operations are tracked and stored permanently.

LABEL PRINTER

The label is customizable and includes patient data, measured activity, calibration

time, lot number…

OPTIONS

 

A single dose calibrator, with the same syringe measuring geometry, can be supplied.

This allows to measure the residual syringe activity after injection.

To make possible the use of the Isolator to operators with different stature is provided a system of oval flanges rotated 45° and a panoramic glass inclined. LATERAL PRE-CHAMBER

The Isolator, according to the strictest interpretation of the GMP guidelines, has a pre-chamber in class B. Through the pre-chamber is possible to introduce and extract materials and preparations to and from the work area. The pre-chamber has a front door of tempered glass sealed with the aid of static seals of pharmaceutical type. An inner door, equipped with the same sealing system, connects the pre-chamber with the main chamber. The doors are equipped with interlock that does not allow their simultaneous opening. This security schemes combined with depression allows the maintenance of sterility of the work area. Inside pre-chamber is provided a tray mounted on sliding guides to facilitate the transfer operation of materials to the working chamber.

ST2 - ISOLATOR FOR STERILITY TESTS

Murphil-ST is an isolator suitable to perform sterility tests in an aseptic environment.

It is equipped with a pre-chamber that allows the introduction of the samples to be tested.

At the end of the introduction of the materials the environment must be decontaminated with a system of vaporization of hydrogen peroxide.

Once completed the cycle the isolator activates a wash cycle so as to allow the outflow of hydrogen peroxide vapor.

The wash cycle can be automatically activated on the PLC in which is also available as a contact which allows to connect the machine to the vaporization system.

The main chamber of the isolator is under positive pressure

with respect to the room in which it is installed.

The prechamber has a glass front door sealed with the aid of inflatable seals pharmaceutical grade. An inner door, with the same sealing system, connects the prechamber with the main chamber. The doors are equipped with interlock that does not allow their simultaneous opening. This combined with the security arrangements of depression compared to the main chamber allows maintenance of the sterility of the working box. Inside there is a tray mounted on sliding rails to facilitate the operation of transfer of materials to the working chamber.

OPTIONAL

The isolator can be supplied with the system for sterility testing Steritest Equinox ™ IsoFit pump. It is recommended to install the pump type Isofit beacuse it decreases of 100 mm the height of the machine from the working surface of the isolator.

The filter unit consists of an electric fan and an absolute filter that allow the recirculation of indoor air, ensuring the maintenance of sterile conditions. The contaminated air from the compartment of the box, is then taken up by the same fan and resent to the HEPA filter.

 

A small amount of air is sucked through an adjustable opening placed on the roof of the instrument. In this way it allows to create a pressure differential between the adjacent rooms.

 

A differential pressure gauge allows you to continuously monitor the internal pressure of the pass-through.

In the column that connects the pass-through to the ceiling are placed the ventilation ducts connected to the HVAC system to which the pass-through has to be connected.

INTERLOCKING SYSTEM

Doors with perimeter seals made of pharmaceutical grade silicone are interlocked to prevent simultaneous opening.

This feature, coupled with positive pressure, prevents the inflow of contaminated air from the outdoors to the radiopharmaceuticals room preparation.

The transit area of the materials is bounded by a system of interlocked doors, which does not allow the opening of a door if the other has not been previously closed, thus avoiding the possible contamination of the environment to be preserved.

WDS-I - WASTE DISPOSAL PLANT

WDS-I waste disposal plant allow to manage discharges of wastewater from departments of Nuclear Medicine and Radiation Metabolic Therapy up to decay below the limits established by legislation.

They consist of a series of tanks where the liquid remain until the complete decay, and hydraulic and electronic groups that allow you to securely manage the system.

DEPURATION MODULE

This module allows to sort the sewage from the Department into the first or the second

Imhoff.

Inside the Imhoff converter takes the sedimentation of solids contained in the sewage and

the biological stabilization of organic matter sediment (anaerobic digestion)

The microcontacts located on the sorting valve indicate to the operator the Imhoff in use.

The level probes present on each Imhoff indicate to the operator when the Imhoff is

clogged and must switch the flow on the second.

DECAYS MODULE

The module is generally composed of tanks in high density polyethylene, but other

configurations are possible with different types of tanks. In the standard configuration,

the volume of the tanks of decay is between 1.000 and 10.000 liters.

Unlimited configurations are possible, some of which may be obtained by connecting in

parallel one or more tanks, depending on the space available. The tanks are provided with

flanges for the installation of the pipe fittings, relating to the various functional modules.

The residence time in the tank is determined by the amount of radioactivity present in the

discharged liquid and by the half-life of radioisotopes present.

FUNCTIONALS MODULES

For the automated management of the plant are installed some functional modules which

allow to manage the facility, the safeties and control of the functioning in every instant.

In particular will be checked continuously levels, the status of the valves, the status of the

power supply, the load and the sampling of all modules of decay.

Additional functional modules are laid down in the case that there are differences in

height to be overcome between the various components of the system.

All safety devices are sized to prevent flooding, overflowing drains or undue liquids not

yet decayed.

The system control is possible at a distance.

MANAGEMENT COMPUTERIZED MODULE

The Management Computerized Module allows the complete remote control of the Plant.

All the operations of sampling, measure, unload, exclusion tanks, are possible without the

presence of the operator in the plant room.

The Management Computerized Module is composed of pages that represent

schematically the system, and allow an intuitive management.

On the same control PC is installed a gamma spectrometry system with multichannel

analyser.

MEASUREMENT SYSTEM WITH MULTICHANNEL ANALYZER

Allows to determine the type and the amount of radioisotope present in each tank of

decay. The dedicated software allows the determination of the activity, and the

concentration of each of the isotopes present through the analysis of the regions of

interest. The data is sent to the PC via Ethernet.

The system includes a NaI (Tl) 2 "x 2" probe with high voltage generator, preamplifier,

amplifier and analog circuit for the stabilization of the spectrum without the use of

radioactive sources.

Software for data acquisition, representation and analysis of the spectra.

Software for the energy and efficiency calibration of the probe.

Storage of measures and report generation exhaust.

SYMO-2-75 - DOUBLE HOT CELL FOR SYNTHETISIS MODULES DISPOSAL PLANT

Double Hot cell for synthesis modules Symo-2-75 is a shieldedcell suitable to accommodate automatic synthesis modules for the production of radiopharmaceuticals.

The special construction features make it ergonomic and functional, in compliance with the Radiation Protection rules and GMP regulations.
